The New Ford Fiesta will be Ford's first major product from its new global product development process
Party time for Ford SA it’s here and available at Metro Auto the new Fiesta range, just announced in Cologne, Germany, arrives here in an as yet undetermined range of models arrives with a fresh challenge to the small-car market.
Ford has adopted the name long familiar in SA as a world brand.
The all-new Fiesta, Ford says, is the first major product of its new global product development process, a car designed and developed in Europe for sale in Europe, Asia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Americas with launches scheduled through until 2010.
Alan Mulally, Ford's president and CEO, said: "We want to create a world standard for small-car quality, design and comfort with a vehicle that's as exciting to drive as it is to look at.
